Kelechi's 21st

I went to Luton on Friday to attend my baby cousin's 1st birthday party. It was on Saturday (my birthday) so i slept over on Friday night to help with the party. I woke up to this cake, my cousin and her husband thoughtfully got for me. Double chocolate, yummy.

Me and J-boy. He is such a cute and happy baby. Throughout my time in Luton, he didn't cry once.

My darling friend Dubem decided to host a dinner for me. I had no idea at the time it was meant to be a surprise. So she and my friend Marlene, got together and made a false Facebook event page for me whilst everyone was planning and scheming on another page without my knowledge. I kinda suspected something was going on because Marlene would get so flustered whenever I asked the most basic questions about the dinner. Anyway, the plan was for everyone to decline, but then show up and surprise me at the dinner. They were all replying with things like 'sorry cant make it, have a wedding to attend', 'i'm not gonna be in London this weekend sorry' only for my friend Idris (listen to his music here) to reply 'im off to Kazakhstan for the weekend' LOL really? Then I had this conversation with my friend in Nigeria.
R: Hey babe, what are you doing on Saturday?
Me: Oh Dubem is hosting a dinner for me
R: How do you know about the dinner?
Me: She told me.
R: I thought it was supposed to be a surprise? well I guess plans changed.
Bingo!
I didn't say anything to anyone though because I thought it was so cute that they cared enough to make the effort and I didn't want to curb their enthusiasm. Regardless, it was an amazing day for me and Im so happy everyone took time out of their busy exam revision schedules to celebrate with me. I love all of you guys and I'm grateful to have friends like you. xxxx

How fab is Ayotunde's Zara coat?
After the dinner we went off to Maddox club, but our party was way to big so my friends promoter decided to take us to this supposedly good club, he ended up taking us on a tour because he didn't have a clue where he was going and halfway through the 'tour' of Mayfair his phone (which he was using as a guide) stopped working. It's actually funny now, but then I not a happy bunny. Staggered to Anaya, music was shit, drinks were way unreasonably priced. Anaya club management if you just happen to be reading this post (because you know, have nothing better to do) FIRE YOUR DJ! scraps. I didn't let that ruin my night though. I had an amazing time.

My dress is from asos and my purse was a christmas gift from my family friend.

80's Bridal Shower

Hi guys these are the pictures from the bridal shower i planned in December for my bestie isioma, i promised to post them ages ago really sorry about that.
Anyhoo the theme was 80's grunge and to my surprise everyone really got into it and came dressed appropriately!

decided to be innovative and have a candy stand as opposed to a cupcake stand
Nurah! she had to leave early tho.

Lade, i loved her take on the whole 80's thing, and don't get me started on her waistline. i really need to take my crunches more seriously

i was kinda like a punk cindy lauper typa 80's girl as opposed to the Madonna look we had all decided on.

The bride issey!!! you can see her rocker jacket and purse

ike did hers with a jerry curl like weave and a cropped top.

It's kelly baybay! i think kelz was the only one that really hit the grunge look on the head

Zmama! posing with my disco curtain which i was sooo proud of. Set it up myself n shiii

not really sure what kelz was drinking here *cough* anyway don't you just love her dark lipstick?

This was after we just finished a rigorous round of musical chairs, which kelz won i might add. (bum bum power)
yea i made all the guests play freeze, musical chairs and all those other games from when we where kids.

  kelzibob!

Part 2. All dressed and ready for the second part of the night. we went out and had a fabulously merry time!
*I apologize for the poor picture quality.

THE END.

Kelechi's 'Whats in my bag'

Hi guys! sorry for the break. I am now back in Lagos to spend Christmas with my family. I left days before school closed so i had to rush my essays before leaving, speed shop and pack for Nigeria. Got to Lagos ready to blog, THE HEAT!! Like i don't even get it, it wasn't like this last year. To top it off i got an instant cold and i've been plagued with it for a week now. I didn't want to abandon the blog for too long so i decided to take a cue from my favourite youtubers and do a 'whats in my bag post'. An outfit post is totally out of the question as i am covered in mentholated dusting powder as I type because of heat rash. I loved this bag from the moment my mum bought it. Now many, many many years later she finally let me rock it. Cerrutti isn't popular in Lagos so people can't be like "OMG that bag is like soooo 10 years ago" (in annoying cool FM presenters' accent. u know now, that annoying 'I just got back from the states' accent)

I never really have much to put in my bag when I'm in Lagos, because I don't drive, work or school here. Most of them are just girlie things I can actually do without but that I've convinced myself I need.

Body Shop Lip Butter I love the body-shop's Chocomania collection. smells so yummy.
Boots almond body butter For moisturising on the go, as I have very dry skin and can't carry my big bottle of coco butter with me.
Lolita Lempika perfume Stole this from my mama. Love it. I'm usually a daisy by Marc Jacobs girl, but I've run out.
Dental Floss I never plan for  eBar's nkwobi. One must always be prepared.
Miss sporty lipstick in Malaga For touch ups. I don't have any other miss sporty thing, and i don't even think of them to be perfectly honest but I love this shade and it smells divine. Best lipstick scent of all time.
Chanel eyeshadow set I use this as a mirror when I'm out. Hi look at me, I have a Chanel mirror, I'm fancy! ;)

Ted Baker Wallet Got this as a birthday present. Love.
Blackberry Charger My blackberry's battery is wack. enough said.
Oyster card and University ID Even though I don't need these in Lagos, I carry them about.
Blackberry Torch, iPod touch and iPhone5 My phones are obviously for communication; bbm, twitter, instagram etc and I'm always listening to music to ward off random people. They just like to talk to me for some reason. (iPhone not in photo because I was using it to take the pictures)
James Patterson's The 5th Horseman Haven't started yet but I adore James Patterson and I never know when I might have to wait for somebody or get stuck in 3hr Ozumba traffic.

Sunday Funday: At the National Army Museum.

Since we couldn't make it last Sunday, we decided  to go see the National Army Museum yesterday. It was absolutely freezing yesterday! The sun earlier in the day tricked me into thinking it would be another warm Sunday, so I decided to  throw on an outfit that was you know, not winter appropriate, got outside BOOOM! Antarctica. i couldn't even feel my fingers by the time i had walked to the station. Anyway we went to see the war horse exhibition. Quite interesting, definitely want to see the movie now as I wasn't interested in it, at the time it was showing in the cinemas.
I'm loving this new Sunday tradition I've started of going somewhere different and new.

they had crayons and cutouts of horses for kids to colour in and stick on the wall. Being a big kid I joined in. marlene was so not amused. lol

i found this funny, "by George age 10 from Chelsea. Not my best drawing =)"

apparently this is the skeleton of Napoleon's favourite horse, Marengo.

Shopping tip for short skirts; Try sitting with it on in the dressing room. This skirt made so much sense in the dressing room, but when I sit down in it goes up, way up and I can't tug it down easily because it isn't lycra or jersey. Another thing,  I'm strolling down the road, I look down and the side seam has moved to the front. Le worst.

No liquid or powder foundation just moisturiser, haven't worn any since september and my skin is rewarding me for it.
@sloane square. getting so excited for christmas!
