80's Bridal Shower

Hi guys these are the pictures from the bridal shower i planned in December for my bestie isioma, i promised to post them ages ago really sorry about that.
Anyhoo the theme was 80's grunge and to my surprise everyone really got into it and came dressed appropriately!

decided to be innovative and have a candy stand as opposed to a cupcake stand
Nurah! she had to leave early tho.

Lade, i loved her take on the whole 80's thing, and don't get me started on her waistline. i really need to take my crunches more seriously

i was kinda like a punk cindy lauper typa 80's girl as opposed to the Madonna look we had all decided on.

The bride issey!!! you can see her rocker jacket and purse

ike did hers with a jerry curl like weave and a cropped top.

It's kelly baybay! i think kelz was the only one that really hit the grunge look on the head

Zmama! posing with my disco curtain which i was sooo proud of. Set it up myself n shiii

not really sure what kelz was drinking here *cough* anyway don't you just love her dark lipstick?

This was after we just finished a rigorous round of musical chairs, which kelz won i might add. (bum bum power)
yea i made all the guests play freeze, musical chairs and all those other games from when we where kids.

  kelzibob!

Part 2. All dressed and ready for the second part of the night. we went out and had a fabulously merry time!
*I apologize for the poor picture quality.

THE END.

EZNIRAS CLOTHES SWAP AND EXHIBITION FAIR

EZNIRAS CLOTHES SWAP IS BACK!!!
Bigger and Better Edition.

Getting tired of your own clothes? Ever wondered what it would be like to raid someone else’s fab wardrobe? Well here’s your chance

This year, Eznira clothes swap is not only increasing the number of the charities in the portfolio, but we are also adding a fashion exhibition fair, where designers, business owners and retailers of various products can exhibit and market thier products so all swappers and guests could swap their clothes and shop as well.

How it works:
1) Each person drops off a minimum of 5 items from their wardrobes at our drop off spot.
2) You get to swap as many items as you bring, so if you bring 10 you swap for 10
3) For this edition swapping is just for girls.
4)You will definitely find clothes that fit you because I already have people from size 6 to size18 who will be swapping
5) Items are 'interswapable', so the fact that you brought only bags doesn't mean you can't swap them for tops.
6) Please ensure that the clothes or items you bring are in very good condition I.e have only been worn once or twice or still have tags on them.
7) If you can't get your things to us before the swap date, we will still accept them on that day. But you would have to come early
8) On the day of the Swap clothes will Hung up and arranged just like a boutique.

* we reserve the right to reject clothes which are torn, faded, dirty or generally in bad condition.

Short shorts

So a couple of sundays ago my mum and i decided to have a girls day out and we ended up at LPM, for some reason this post has been sitting in my drafts doing nothing. Anyway i didn't really buy much apart from a couple of accessories, jelly beans from cam cam sweets and the delish sweet kiwi yoghurt, i swear i could live on that yoghurt alone! Even though i didn't buy any clothes, i was really impressed by some of the designers especially Eclectic by Sasha.

i love the bracelet with the mock tooth makes me feel very earthy.
Probably searching for my keys

This beautiful crotchet mullet waistcoat from COLLECTIBLES has become one of my favorite items of clothing, i wear it almost every week!

My mum always gets me to do the wierdest poses when she acts as my photog. Slipons belong to kelz and are fromTOPSHOP
Made this ankara tote out of my mum's old scarf and now everyone wants one, even the boys!!!
bought this FAB tutankamen ring at the ENE MAYA STORE, i'm obsessed with egyptian history and architecture so i practically died when i saw this ring!

The FELA Experience!

The Broadway play FELA was recently staged in lagos, it's based on the life of a Nigerian Afro beat Musician and Activist and one of the biggest African Musical Icons. aaaanyway I got the chance to work backstage in the costumes department with a top Nigerian designer and some stylists.

The show was Fabulous and i got a chance to meet soooo many cool people, did i mention the dancers? Wow those dancers! or as they where called in the play 'The queens'.  I'll admit it was pretty stressful dressing them and having to remember all the different costume changes and que's. But it was all worth it as i got to play with the awesome custumes.

I put up a video from backstage where the dancers where letting off steam and having fun before they went on for their 1st act, the video is a tad random and sketchy because i used my phone, Hope you guys like it!

This is Nicole, one of the 'queens' she's a FANTASTIC dancer, the way she moves her body you'd think she was born aand bed in naija!

Me, Veno, jil(one of the choreographers), lawunmi and Joke the guys were MIA at this point. they'l probabaly kill me for putting this up seeing how tired we all look.
i look about 16 in this picture, anyway so i finally got to watch the play on the last day of the show and this is what i wore. the necklace once belonged to my mum and it's actually older than i am!

sweater: Random
skirt: Primark
belt: h&m
Watch: Moschino
Bag: Zara
Necklace: Monet

I'm Back

Hey guys so sorry i've been MIA for this long, some unknown person (i have my suspicions) dropped my laptop on the 1st day of Arise Fashion Week and it took a while to get it fixed.
So much has happened since i was here last, i worked as an intern/assistant during the fashion week which was totally fun, i got to meet soo many cool people and some not so cool people(bt we'l leave that one for another day). Had a realy FAB idea for a post about AMFW but it's been so long it's kinda out of context now so i'll just put up a couple of pictures of things/people that caught my eye during the fashion week.

Day 1

some of the interns i worked with, tosin, moi, choima n ala

                                                            Day 2
Forgot my camera at home today, felt like killing myself because JBL and Ituen Basi showcased their designs but i couldn't get any pictures! :(

Day 3

The sun was hot, hence the frown

yea i ddn't really get the idea behind the socks and mandals combo either

the guy on the left was one of the models, he had no less than 4 facial peircings! had to take his picture

Met this girl there, LOVE her skirt and her neck piece. i tink her name is tolu not really sure. Aaaanyway she has a fashion website with her friend (kike i think) and for some reason i can't seem to remember the name. so if you happen to know what it's called please write the link in my comments thanks!

closer look at her necklace, bEAUtiful!

this is Dolapo, she's into fashion P.R.....i think. anyway she was really cool and friendly don't you just love her necklace?

Day 4

This is busayo, love what she did to her hair with the ankara head wrap

                                                    This is Nina!

This is thelma one of my 'co-interns' she's too cute!

one thing i love about working in fashion you can wear almost anything and nobody even bats an eyelid e.g my white high waisted shorts.

Was bored and decided to drag my friends zainab and itunu down to mine for an impromptu amature fashion shoot in some of my creations. Here are a couple of pictures

Been busy busy working on lots of different stuff, more later!
made this for one of my youngest clients, she's 16 and a bit of a tomboy and she's trying to mix her style up a little.
i'm guessing she could wear the top with jeans and then the skirt with a black top.
