The Big Chop

I recently chopped off my hair, like i literally woke up by 2am grabbed a pair of scissors and chopped it off. My mum almost cried when she woke up in the morning and saw the damage.  I've been wanting to cut it for year but i didn't have the courage to and to be honest i was worried that people would no longer find me attractive. So anyway i chopped it off and then went to the salon the next day to have it 'neatened' up.

The initial reaction wasn't exactly positive i must confess. I got a lot of "Why did You cut your hair, what's the matter!!!", "it makes you look 'somehow' " and the worst "are you sure u'll find a husband this". laaal. Nigerians have no chill whatsoever!
Anyway it appears with the hair came a new attitude because for some reason i really couldn't be bothered about other peoples opinions. I love my new hair, i think it reflects my personality and other than the fact that people tend to stare a bit more than usual i really havnt noticed any differences in the way people treat me.

It's so funny 3weeks on, people now walk up to me to say they love my haircut and want to know where i had it done.

I'm not Sure how long this phase will last but i'm loving so far. Only downside is i think it makes me look even younger, what do you think guys am i just being paranoid?

Urban Culture

Been feening for a snap back for the past couple of months, finally got one last weekend. I blame it on all the ratchet music I've been listening to lately. Honestly all i have to do is hear 'they ask me what i do and who i do it for' and I'm on my feet popping, my friends are getting worried.  Juicy j, 2chainz, Future......u name it, i love em all x_x.
 Anyway my friend just got back from America and she got me these really cute hi-tops, so i decided to christen them yesterday.
She sha gisted me about how she wore her's with a peplum top instead of the usual sporty stuff, tried it out with an ankara twist and i can't lie peeps where definitely all up in my grill because of this outfit! Coincidentally today is her birthday. all i want for my birthday is a big....HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZAINAB!!! aka Zbaby aka Zee of Life!. luv Ya!

Got the blues?

Rocking so many different shades of Blue today from my eyeliner to my skinny belt! Decided to chill out with the shoes. Been hunting for these brogues for weeks finally found them under the stairs. x_x. I love them so much, i've had them for two years and they'r still going strong.

Meanwhile i have a mini rant this morning, please is there anything particularly scandalous about my outfit? That's how i went somewhere this morning and this woman walks up to me and goes 'young lady are you comfortable in this your outfit' and i replied 'very, why?'. She didn't say anything but proceeded to stare pointedly at my legs. I'm just tired, if it's not busybodies helping you adjust your bra strap in public, its random women women not minding their business. I know my mother doesn't go about doing such so i don't know what's wrong with all these women. Anyway if you can't respect yourself, i will nicely put you in your place.

Green hasn't been one of my favorite colors for years but as i looked through my closet this morning, i realized that i actually have a lot of green clothes and accessories. Anyway I'm off to do some grocery shopping for this new workout and diet programme i'm starting on Monday. It's called INSANITY and i hear it's crazy! Need to get rid of my pouchy belly so i can rock dem cropped tops and show off this bod come april! Have any of you tried it? What where your results?

Happy New year guys!!! Anyway i decided not to make any New Year's resolutions this year, just going to work hard and pray harder. So my best friend was in town for a couple of days last month and I spent time hanging out in her hotel room, gossiping till like 1am in the morning and eating mountains of food,  planning her bridal shower and generally having a fab girly time..

Wore this ankara shirt for the 1st time and i got so many rave reviews i think i'll be wearing it far more often. Face is quite pale because i had no make up on except for clear lip gloss.

i love these shoes so much, they are so practical! They make my feet look tiny, plus they kinda give me some extra swag when i walking, lol.

Heat Wave

 I'm kinda obsessed with bib blouses right now. Anyway I'm off for another looong meeting. I ordinarily wouldn't wear something this transparent during the day but the heat in lagos has been terrible lately. Forgot my sunglasses at home yesterday and I almost cried. Meanwhile I'm getting quite bored of my hair, anyone know of any nice protective hairstyles that won't cause damage my hair?

I'm back! For the past couple of weeks I've been having a love affair with men's v-neck tees. They just seem to go with everything. Stole this one in the post from my brother eons ago but I never wear it as it just doesn't 'gauge'. So yesterday armed with a pair of scissors and pins I decided to reconstruct it. Hey guys recently found this gorgeous maxi, mermaid skirt at Mango, I just can't get over it! like i've styled it in a million different ways in my head already. Havn't been very impresssed with the Mango outlet  at The Palms. From their bleh colour palette to their ridiculous prices but i swear theyve redeemed themselves with this skirt!

paired it with this sheer ruffled blouse i got from kelz

Camera, lights, action!!!

We shot the lookbooks for our new male and female collections last week.  It was Crazy because we had three shoots in one week. It was also a lot of fun especially the shoot for the guys, we had so many cool concepts. I worked as the co-stylist for the female shoot with a really cool stylist Ify. and then i was the creative director for the Men's shoot. It was my first time acting as a creative director so i was a tad nervous but it was really cool. i can definately see myself doing more of that.

I'm such a Genius lol! Me creating one of the props for the shoot. dont worry you'll get it when i post the lookbook later on.

the models tobi and Kelvin(the 'lamba' king) dont ask, i have no idea what lamba means either.

This is obinna, we scouted him a couple of days before the shoot by accident and surprisingly even though he isnt a model he agreed to do the shoot!

Crazy couple of days coming up, we have a show on sunday which i am in charge of as the boss is travelling. Wish me luck guys!
