EZNIRAS CLOTHES SWAP AND EXHIBITION FAIR

EZNIRAS CLOTHES SWAP IS BACK!!!
Bigger and Better Edition.

Getting tired of your own clothes? Ever wondered what it would be like to raid someone else’s fab wardrobe? Well here’s your chance

This year, Eznira clothes swap is not only increasing the number of the charities in the portfolio, but we are also adding a fashion exhibition fair, where designers, business owners and retailers of various products can exhibit and market thier products so all swappers and guests could swap their clothes and shop as well.

How it works:
1) Each person drops off a minimum of 5 items from their wardrobes at our drop off spot.
2) You get to swap as many items as you bring, so if you bring 10 you swap for 10
3) For this edition swapping is just for girls.
4)You will definitely find clothes that fit you because I already have people from size 6 to size18 who will be swapping
5) Items are 'interswapable', so the fact that you brought only bags doesn't mean you can't swap them for tops.
6) Please ensure that the clothes or items you bring are in very good condition I.e have only been worn once or twice or still have tags on them.
7) If you can't get your things to us before the swap date, we will still accept them on that day. But you would have to come early
8) On the day of the Swap clothes will Hung up and arranged just like a boutique.

* we reserve the right to reject clothes which are torn, faded, dirty or generally in bad condition.

Venue:- The White Space, 58 raymond Njoku street Off awolowo rd. Ikoyi.

Date: September 16th 2012

Time: 12pm-6pm

Gate Fee: #2000 for swappers only, free for other shoppers.

The Eznira Clothes Swap and Vintage Fair

Getting tired of your own clothes? Ever wondered what it would be like to raid someone else’s fab wardrobe? Well here’s your chance

I'll be having a Swap Shindig on the 12th of June.
In addition to this seeing as vintage is all the rage, there'l also be a vintage stand where my swappers can purchase all things vintage! I'm really excited as i've been thinking of having one of these for ages but people kept discouraging me by saying it wouldn't work here in Nigeria. aaaaanyway!

This is how it works, each person drops off a minimum of 5 items from their wardrobes with one of our reps before or on the swap date.( Feel free to bring your parents fabulous clothes from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s to swap too).
Swapping is FREE, and there will be seamstresses at the fair to assist if clothes need altering. (this service is not free)
If you have not donated items you will not be eligible to swap but you can still buy stuff from our vintage stand.

So alot of people have asked me questions about the Swap,  i'm just going to clear up a few things
1: you get to swap as many items as you bring, so if you bring 10 you swap for 10
2: for this edition swapping is just for girls.
3:Yes you will find clothes that fit you because i already have people from size 6 to size16 who will be swapping
4: Items are 'interswapable', so the fact that you bring bags doesn't mean you can't swap them for tops.
5: I cant sress this enough please ensure that the clothes you bring are not worn out or dirty. Letme put it this way, don't bring what you can't collect.
6: If you can't get your things to us before the swap date, we will still accept them on that day.

If you have anymore questions, Please leave a comment here or email me. thanx guys!

Ez Weekly

(Had this post in my drafts since last week decided to merge it with my post for this week)

Last week was pretty bleh! i guess it's because i was expecting a call about a job and the call never came, anyway...

Monday:
Finally finished making my miniature bodice, feeling very tired but victorious! Yay!

Tuesday:
Hooked up with my friend Kolu @ Mega, found this Fab store where they sell merchandise by Nigerian designers and they give a percentage of the proceeds to a children's charity. We were feeling a tad bored, i suggested that we go to bungalows to try out their sushi. What a 'WHEEIST'! they had this disgusting avocado paste thing on the side (gag worthy) the green stuff used to wrap the sushi smelled like 'moi moi' leaves sef. had to shower the sushi with tabasco sauce before i could eat it. Later realized the sushi was supposed to be dipped in a sauce...ignorance is bad sha. and yes there's no talk of sewing today because i stabbed lesson....bite me!

Wednesday:
Woke up feeling out of sotrs. Still made it to school tho, good thing too. Learnt how to make a  draped/cowl skirt and since i'm slim it's the perfect skirt for me, giving me extra hips n tinz things. my 'mentor' agreed to give me one on one pattern drafting lessons on friday so i'm uber psyched about that!

Thursday:
I've been dreading this day for a year....feeling pretty wretched didn't sleep all night *sigh* Moving on, got to school super early today made m cowl skirt, yay! Super pruod of myself it looks awesome aand the tailoring is perfection (yes, letme psyche myself) ddn't leave till 7pm feeling like a couture nerd.

Friday:
Didn't wake up till 10am! at this time my mentor has been waiting for me for 60mins! if i had a gun, i swear i'd have shot myself. had to call in sick, n i hate lying because i always go overboard, dunno what possesed me to tell them i had laryngitis.

Sunday:
For the life of me i can't remember what i did yesterday! went for LPM today, was ok. I was still feeling down in the dumps about friday so i only purchased a couple of nick nacks. On the upside i met this really cool fabric supplier :D. I'm a nerd i know.

Some of the stuff i picked up, the fabric is from Designer's Muse

Anyway my friend issey got back yesterday and we decided to get away from the Lagos mania and head to abuja for a couple of Days.

Pictures From abuja

                                                              Just about to take off

In the restroom of some eatery or the other, oh did i mention i have a thing for bathroom pictures?

I love that abuja has minimal traffic!

We hooked up with my friend Kld, this is him and issey waking in front of me, i think they were tired of me acting like a tourist.

I like this Picture a lot, notice me and my hairpiece are practically inseperable?

Been back in Lagos since friday and apart from getting abit gaga about everything wrapped, draped or 'cowled' i'm taking things pretty easy, got ill in abuja drinking something called 'fura de nunu' sill feeling the effects.

P.S:- everyone seems to love these hair pieces, i have orders up to my ears. Seems like my accessories line isn't such a pipe dream afterall.
